Krystian Czyz, Xfive’s front-end and WordPress developer, has being HEROized as WebCatcher. Krystian will tell us something about himself in the following interview.

How would you describe yourself to someone you’ve never met?

I’m an open minded person. I enjoy working with other people and exchanging ideas. I like new challenges when I can learn something new from them.

I really like working with people and get along with almost everybody. I’ve worked in different companies in a variety of situations. I quickly learn new things and I’m always eager to do something. I am interested in internet technology, SEO and marketing.

 When did you join XHTMLized?

July 2013.

What do you do at XHTMLized?

Most of time I focus on delivering a complete product in a confined timeline. I use HTML, CSS, JavaScript with a semantic approach, cross browser compatibility and responsive web design. I also create WordPress themes for clients. I think most important for me is attention to details.

What are your favourite web development technologies?

  • HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript – First place on my list.
  • Yeoman, NodeJS – To build better web apps.
  • AngularJS – To create one page app.
  • Bootstrap – CSS framework.
  • Sass / Less – For better CSS.
  • WordPress – Content management system.
  • Ionic Framework – for developing hybrid mobile apps with HTML5.
  • And a lot of jQuery plugins

What development tools do you use on daily basis?

  • Sublime Text 3 – editor with some plugins what I use:
    • Emmet – Improves HTML & CSS workflow.
    • AutoFileName – Autocomplete filenames in Sublime Text.
    • SFTP – To manipulate files and folders remotely.
    • LiveStyle – To manipulate CSS files by “developer tools” in browser.
  • PerfectPixel – To compare how perfect my actual project are.
  • CSSHat – To convert our photoshop object to CSS.

Which people or resources do you follow?

The source of new trends in front-end for me is The Treehouse Show – a weekly internet show for web developers.

Also, I look for coding solutions on Stack Overflow.

I also read articles written by Chris Coyier and Addy Osmani.

What do you like to do in your free time?

After work hours, I like spending time with my friends. We often meet in our favorite places in town. I also watch a lot of films, especially thrillers. I listen to music, and my favorite genre is breakbeat. When the weather is good, I like ride my bike: for me, it is the best way to relax and rest.

Tell us something about your superhero.

WebCatcher has strength, endurance, extraordinary speed and agility. The superpower of this hero is to select only the information from cyberspace that are of considerable importance or quality. He always is searching for new resources.
