Press+

A complete solution for higher education web content management

Xfive has created a complete solution for higher education web content management by making use of the WordPress CMS and Pantheon hosting. Press+ serves as a platform for university department websites.

Project

Client

Xfive is a partner for design and web agencies looking to expand their capacity in web applications development where care is the foundation of everything we do.

Xfive took the responsibilities of its acquired US based company Webvanta, which focused on web solutions for higher education and mission driven organizations.

One of the responsibilities was to take care about client base and ensure that all client websites are technologically up-to-date.

Brief

To keep all Webvanta clients, specifically higher education websites up-to-date with web standards and trends, Xfive decided to create a new product which would ensure that these requirements are met.

The product name is Press+ and it’s built on WordPress CMS. It’s an ideal product for higher education website development – it allows enough flexibility to scale the website, is up-to-date with current web standards and accessibility requirements, is easy to use and has wide community behind, willing to help solve any problem.

With added maintenance and support services, Press+ provides extra care for the website management.

Press+ solved all of these challenges. After implementation and a training session the client was able to manage their website content easily.
  • Center for the Race and Gender Xfive installed Press+ administration theme which creates transparent content overview and makes content management easier. Client uses Press+ maintenance service to ensure that their website core platform files and plugins are up-to-date and the website works as expected.
  • City of Gretna: Xfive developed a custom WordPress website for City of Gretna. It used Press+ hosting and maintenance services to keep the website up-to-date, performant and secure.

Complete website care

Press+ brings complete solution for university department websites including website design, web development, hosting service, product maintenance and support.

With its responsiveness, optimized performance, web accessibility and API integration it helps to easily manage the content of department informational websites.

Modules such as events, books, people and an event calendar ensure that the most important information about a university department is communicated to website visitors, as well as current and prospective clients.

I am so impressed with the services our Department of African American Studies at UC Berkeley has received from this website company. Stano/Xfive replies immediately to all of our requests and does so with a level of care that ensures our department home page maintains its integrity. I recommend the services wholeheartedly! You will not be disappointed!
