Olera is a startup developing a digital platform that connects families caring for elderly people to senior care professionals. The platform guides them through that journey and reduces the burden of caregiving.
Brief
In 2021, an early-stage startup Olera searched for a partner to build an elder care platform in the United States. Olera needed a reliable partner who could deliver a well-made MVP. Olera selected Xfive from 20 potential providers.

Results
Key achievements
- Xfive launched an MVP version of the product after six months of close collaboration with Olera
- The initial goal was to get a score of 3.6 in the user testing for the MARS (Mobile Application Rating Scale). The MVP eventually got a score of 4.5!
- This helped Olera secure the second installment of a $2.3M grant from the National Institute on Aging, which falls under the National Institute of Health (NIH).

Phase two
Olera launched the MVP locally in Central Texas in phase one of the project.
In phase two, which is currently running, Olera and Xfive focus on scaling the platform nationwide and exploring how various user groups interact.
